Purpose of the Publication: This systematic review evaluates the impact of telemedicine on healthcare delivery, including patient outcomes, healthcare costs, and access to care (Zhou & Zheng, 2023).
Methodology: The study uses a systematic review and meta-analysis of quantitative data from various studies on telemedicine (Zhou & Zheng, 2023).
Theoretical Framework: The review is based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), which assesses user acceptance of new technologies (Zhou & Zheng, 2023).
Analysis and Results: The analysis shows that telemedicine has improved access to care, particularly in rural areas, and led to cost savings. Challenges include technology adoption and patient privacy concerns (Zhou & Zheng, 2023).
Author’s Conclusion: The authors conclude that while telemedicine positively impacts healthcare delivery, technological and regulatory challenges need further research (Zhou & Zheng, 2023).
Implication for Further Research: Future research should focus on the long-term impacts of telemedicine and the development of standardized protocols (Zhou & Zheng, 2023).
Implications for Professional Practice: Healthcare administrators should invest in telemedicine infrastructure and training to maximize benefits while addressing adoption and privacy concerns (Zhou & Zheng, 2023).
