The 15th and 16th centuries were marked by major changes, exploration of the Americas, transatlantic trade and slavery and the Protestant Reformation in Europe. The effects on Africa, Europe and Colonial America changed the intellectual, religious, cultural and artistic environments.

Consider how these changes are reflected in the art, architecture, music, dance, literature, etc. of these three continents. Select the Americas, Europe or Africa and discuss how these changes are illustrated in the creative work of that area and time. Provide examples to support your conclusions.
