Based on the proposal and bibliography I attached, write an 2000 words research essay for Topics:

1. Do some research into the issue of plagiarism in either a) the academic field you’re planning to major in, or b) the contemporary news media. How widespread is this problem? Why is it a problem? What should be done about it (i.e. how do we fix the issue of plagiarism in academia or the media)?
