Should our government provide free health care to all U.S. Citizens?

Imagine what our life would be like if we were one of the millions of Americans without medical coverage. I think that over 40 million Americans are currently without health care coverage for us and our families. Not to mention there has been a steady rise in in people under 65 without health coverage. Although our nation has cutting-edge medical services and some of the best hospitals in the world, many Americans do not have access to the services they need. Health is not an issue to take lightly. Whether health care is given can mean life or death for many people. To top that, we must pay a high price to keep ourselves covered. A price that so many people cannot afford to pay. I think the government should provide free health care for U.S. citizens but on the other hand, I don't think they should. I think this should be an option for the families who are not able to afford health care and the people who are a life-threatening illness. On the other hand, if the government is responsible for providing health care for all U.S. Citizens where will the money come from. Will the taxpayers be responsible for this or will they allocate a budget? It is a lot of pros and cons on this subject.
