Reading PRESS CONFERENCE ASSIGNMENT

You will be conducting a Press Conference involving a crisis scenario. 

 INSTRUCTIONS
Press Release
You will prepare a formal written Press Release intended for distribution to the press. The press
release must be written in the standard “inverted pyramid” style highlighted in the textbook; this
is also referred to as AP style (please note that this is not the same as APA style). 

 The release must contain all of the elements that are appropriate for a Press Release 

requirement:

 Evidence of time spent preparing and planning 

 There is flow to the ideas in the press conference. • Topics are covered thoroughly.  

  Material is well-articulated and logical. • Chooses and supports a position meticulously. • Answers questions logically and completely
