I totally understand why someone would thin evaluation is a threat. I mean when evaluated you are being critiqued. Meaning, hearing all the negatives about your work or the an outcome. No one wants to be hear someone telling them what they could of done better. However, evaluation is necessary. It is the only way you will see mistakes and correct them. The example the book gave of the airline companies not wanting to be evaluated is definitely understandable. The negative information can detrimental if it gets the wrong person. However, like what they did. They kept the information in house for training purposes. I believe companies should not use evaluation used to assess a person's performance against them. It should be strictly used as training purposed to see hoe a person is progressing and in what area they need more assistance.
