The purpose of this assignment is to enhance your critical thinking, analytical, and writing skills by evaluating a peer-reviewed journal article related to quality improvement in healthcare. This exercise will help you identify key findings, evaluate methodologies, and reflect on the implications for practice and policy. It is suggested that you do a comprehensive database search using a reliable database to find an appropriate article. Relying on Google may not yield the best results. It is suggested that you locate a DNP QI project to evaluate. This will give you an additional introduction and offer insight into DNP projects.  

Instructions: 

1. Provide the title and authors of the article. Include a PDF copy of the article with your submission 
2. In the introduction section, discuss what quality improvement is.  
3. Summarize the main purpose of the article and its relevance to quality improvement in healthcare.
   • Why was the QI activity done?
   • Identify the gap in practice or knowledge that prompted the need for change.  
4. Summarize the main points, findings, and conclusions of the article.
   • How were statistics used in the article? 
5. Highlight the quality improvement initiative, its implementation, and the results achieved. 
6. Discuss the strengths and limitations of the article. 
7. Analyze how the findings can be applied in healthcare settings.
   • Consider the potential impact on patient care, organizational outcomes, or policy. 
8. In the conclusion section, summarize your key takeaways from the article. 
9. This assignment should be 5 pages (double spaced) and follow APA format and style (title page, page numbers, headings. in-text references, reference page).
