 Choose one short story written by Nnedi Okorafor and the short story by Okwirir Oduor, "My Father's Head,".  Be sure to read background interviews and discussions on these authors to help you to relate to their writing.  

 please talk about each of the texts you choose in terms of how much they are unlike what we take to be  "real" life while still saying things that relate very much to reality.  For instance, Okorafor's short story, "Spider the Artist" uses science fiction to make important points about gender violence and corporate greed.  You should be original in your response .  Weird things happen in these stories.  Why?  What do you think the authors are trying to get us to think about
