Profile Rough Draft
Write a profile about a person, organization, place, event, or situation. Your job here is to depict a person or thing that matters to you so that readers will know about that person/thing too. Profiles create memorable impressions. Your text provides some advice on selecting a topic on pages 228 and 230. This is to be a multi-paragraph essay, with an introduction, body, and conclusion. It must be no less than two pages and no more than three pages in length. It should be written in 12 pt. Times New Roman font, with one-inch margins on top, bottom, left, and right. Everything except for the heading should be double-spaced; the heading should be single-spaced and should be aligned right. Don't skip extra lines between paragraphs, but do indent every paragraph using the Tab key once. Your title, which should be centered and bold, should indicate what the paper will be about and should be somewhat creative.
Introduction should open with something attention-getting and then provide background. Body should be sequenced in a manner that makes sense. And conclusion should end strongly, leaving us with something memorable. In addition to this, I want a clear thesis at the end of your first paragraph (introduction) that names the person or thing that you will discuss and the elements that compose that person or thing. I want your body paragraphs to be on those elements you name in your thesis, in the order in which you name them. I highly encourage you to use and incorporate interview in this paper (see page 231).
