Thesis 

There are three fascinating elements that Ezra Pound used to create the poem “In the station of the metro” are Nature, Consciousness and Style.

Topic sentences 

1. We can feel comforted by the positive association of faces with flower petals, which are usually used to represent nature’s most beautiful creations.

2. being so abrupt in shifting from the first image to the second, Pound is letting the reader experience the realization that these people are like flowers in the way that he experienced it

3.“In a Station of the Metro” is a type of poem called a haiku a traditional Japanese nature-image poem of precisely 17 syllables but Pound’s haiku has 19 syllables.
