CLASSMATE’S DISCUSSION (Keneshia)

The review of my previous work provided information about a consistent theme across my post that revolves around the community empowerment initiative as an organization focused on developing positive change in the local community. This work focuses on community sustainability through different programs including work training, sustainable store operations, and community outreach. The project aims to empower local self- reliance by increasing community engagement in job development training programs and sporting store permanency. The project highlights the successful track record of an organization that represents the examples of previous projects and their achieved outcomes that strengthened the organization's capability to execute the proposed project.

The project is significant as it is based on a comprehensive approach to developing the community and dealing with different issues of society including unemployment, economic sustainability, and overall well-being. The organization aims to develop its interdisciplinary team of program evaluation experts, economic analysts, and committed managers who could implement the policies of the project efficiently. The statement represented that the successful record of accomplishment of organization and expertise in the community empowerment initiative is trustworthy to achieve the objectives. The expected results of the project are considered to improve society increase job opportunities and implement effective training strategies that could be helpful to get sustainable store operations overall it led to get me reliable economic resilience that is helpful to create a self-sufficient society. For this purpose, the estimated project budget is $500,000, and a funding request of $300,000 was made focusing on the significance of financial support in obtaining the project's outline goals.

In the context of reflection, my writing consistently highlights the significance of community empowerment, economic sustainability, and self-reliance. My post focused on the key topics that represented a commitment to promote positive change in society. When I reviewed my previous work, I was happy to see a coherent connection running through my contribution that focuses on the mission and project goals of the organization to achieve the proposed initiative. My post also inspired me to increase online learning as my discussions about community development and social impact represented greater value to share the opportunity and engage in meaningful dialogue that could be learned from diverse perspectives to different participants. The weekly

discussions provided a great platform to exchange ideas, share experiences, and contribute to collecting understanding about community engagement.

The focus on interdisciplinary collaboration with the organization is a significant aspect of my previous posts and revisiting the work further, helped me to explore the synergies between their roles and how their collaboration could improve the effectiveness of the proposed initiative. The concept of a self-reliant and stable community is a key theme and fundamental objective of an organization that helps develop strategies for generating self- reliance. Re-visiting such key ideas would contribute to a more holistic and comprehensive exploration of the organization's mission and project goal, which helps increase community empowerment.

To conclude, my contributions consistently revolve around the key themes of community empowerment, economic sustainability, and self-reliance. The reflective exercise has represented great coherence in my writing and my posts represented my goals and missions to improve the community. With the help of this project, it is expected that the experts would be able to identify the opportunities in the market and help the individuals in society to overcome the problem of unemployment, which is helpful to develop a strong economy. I am looking forward to contributing meaningfully to the online learning community.

CLASSMATE’S DISCUSSION (Stephanie)

What do you usually write about in your posts? When beginning a discussion post, I rely on the chapter reading assigned to the discussion post assignment. Once an understanding is established, of the assignment I then proceed to use outside sources from the internet. I like to mix different information to me it makes a cohesive discussion and reading.

Are there broad themes or specific issues that keep appearing in your writings? The broad theme of this class and focal point has been the mission of the organization and its objectives and goals. If referring to the writing in general for this class I tend to voice my opinion on what I have experienced in the organization that I serve under. There were times in the discussions when I got lost in my writing I let my weakness in conforming my thoughts and words together, this is where Professor Youn, stepped in with his feedback in giving clear clarity on what was missing and needed.

Has the nature of your posts changed over the quarter? I can’t say that the nature of my discussion post has changed throughout the 5 weeks we have endured so far. The discussions were conducive and instrumental in helping with each assignment leading to the final week six.

What surprised you as you reread your work? In rereading my discussion posts, there were sometimes surprises at my ability to provide the accurate amount of information needed. Where I provided considerate and structured responses Surprise!! For instance, there was a discussion I felt that my responses to the discussion post were comprehensible and understandable, addressing the queries effectively until (Excellent Stephanie- per Professor Youn, although a bit more rationale as to why an external evaluator fits your particular grant better would be preferred.) Now that I took the timeout to re-read all of the responses to me from Professor Youn I am grateful I felt that I wrote and responded to all prompts accurately some where I was lacking information and more specific details.

What ideas or threads in your posts do you see as worth revisiting? It is always good to go back and revisit and recap the different learning methods, worksheets, and examples, that were supplied throughout the textbooks, course resources, and most important the previous posts that were done starting from week 1. All of these resources hold and have important information to be used in week 6 of your classes.

How do you feel you’ve contributed to the online learning community through the discussion board? My contribution to the online learning community through discussion boards was a respected way to interact and collaborate with my peers, we shared knowledge, and emotions, and engaged with one another in an overall learning experience. The questions we posed to one another brought about some critical thinking and digging for extra resources to follow up with.

What else did you notice? I notice I’m going to use the word repeat, when doing most of the discussion posts mainly all of them my peers and I seem to have the same information and resources. Especially if it is pulled from the book. So how do you go from there, asking and responding can be daunting at times. This can lead to difficult concepts or completing a challenging assignment.

What aspects of the weekly discussion do you value most, and how does it show up in your posts? Reading my peer's posts and responses can offer valuable information and assistance, to me and for the also. The aspects of responses, such as feedback can generate ideas encouraging, connecting, and motivating your peers in the discussion forum.
