Parental engagement is a somewhat ambiguous notion in K-12 schools. Further, engaging students in the school community is different than engaging them in the classroom. To be successful, school leaders must clearly define the intended role of parents and students in the school community and then pursue deliberate strategies to engage them in this role. In this assignment, you will explore the role of parents and students in the school community and the strategies to engage them in their intended roles.
