Please explain diabetes to the class, specifically the differences between type 1 and type 2 diabetes (do not include gestational diabetes or diabetes insipidus). Include signs/symptoms, diagnosis method, risk factors and treatment. Don’t forget to discuss the role of carbohydrates in diabetes management. Include information on glucose and glycogen, as well as the role of the pancreas and liver in blood glucose management.
