Response #1 (Kanysia): I would say that lots of people want to be famous or popular on social media, as in being known and having tons of following. They can be obsessed with their social media account itself. Nowadays since a person can make a living off social media posts, the obsession could be due to the fact that money can be coming in from posting and getting engagement. When it comes to the scamming, simply just ignore the fake pages saying they can get you quick cash. It will always be a scam. There are several things that can be done to protect an account. I definitely would refrain from clicking links, as someone can do a lot of bad from a link, like hack your accounts or much worse. Obviously, do not enter or give someone your account details thinking that you would actually gain something from them doing so. Hundred percent of the time, the account will be hacked you will likely lose access, as the details can easily be changed after they have taken it over. I would also advise a strongly protected password that is different from other online accounts. Because if one account gets hacked, they can easily gain access to the others with said same password very simple and easily to figure out. Two Factor Authentication is something that I would recommend using on all important accounts as well. If someone does manage to figure out the password, they would need a verification code from either an authentication app or your personal phone number in order to gain access to the account. These methods may help, but some people are still clueless and will give hackers or scammers the verification code, allowing them to steal their account or money from it. I have unfortunately seen it happen to someone I know.
Response #2 (Brandy): Social media has definitely replaced many forms of communication, as far as young people are concerned. It is the go-to place for relevant current events and news. The thing that many scholars and studies don’t really touch on the real reason social media is so popular. This reason is that social media is customizable. It allows its users to select things they are interested in. Social media users have a chance to streamline news and popular things to their account that they consider as a personal interest. You can select things that only interest you without having to consume all news and announcements as if you would be if you were watching or reading news in more traditional ways. Most importantly its free wherever you can connect to the internet.Social media has also been dubbed the number way to communicate pr disseminate information. The more people that are using a platform means the more ways that advertisers try to reach a certain base of customers. This is one of the ways that many people get scammed and have their personal information compromised. People will more often than not click on the advertisements to make purchases. This is how many people get their banking information and identity stolen. Social media is also used to manipulate the political masses. It is very important to not post personal information and be very meticulous when selecting usernames and passwords. It is very important to make sure you’re your passwords are very diverse across platforms. Social media above all, has become a breeding grown for terrorist. They use the platforms for the radicalization of young people that may be on the fence politically. I feel as though any account or profile can be hacked if only a password is used. This makes multi-factor identification so important. It lets you have an added layer of security to protect your accounts. As the cyber world continues to evolve security measures must continue to mitigate risks and combat the effectiveness of things like viruses and malware. Automation is no longer the future it is the now and protective measures must be takes to make the cyber-airways safe.

Johnathan: Scenario: You are arriving at an airport and you are confronted with the new biometrics identification system.
· Is the process violating your Fourth Amendment rights?
There has been heavy debate over whether or not biometrics violate Fourth Amendment rights. One argument is that biometrics can be utilized remotely and secretly by government authorities. However, in this scenario, biometrics are mostly used to determine if any suspects in an investigation are entering an area or around a scene of a crime. Furthermore, they are also used to identify persons of interest entering into the country at the border and in Airports such as known terrorists. So, in this case, I would say they are not violating Fourth Amendment rights as they are just ensuring the safety of public airlines.
· What if you are a foreign national, does that make a difference in the possible rights violations?
I think this just makes the usage of biometrics that much more important in this scenario so that they can confirm I am not on any watchlist or suspect list and that I am just someone visiting the country and pose no threat to national security by matching my face to any known terrorist lists.
· Does the United States- through the TSA and CBP- have the right to conduct pragmatic searches (search without having to show probable cause)?
They do this is what is known as the border search exception to the Fourth Amendment which allows law enforcement officers to conduct searches without the need for probable cause, a warrant, or even reasonable suspicion.
· What would be your recommendation to better protect the United States from possible terrorist attacks through the air if biometrics is found to be unconstitutional?
My recommendation, if biometrics were found to be unconstitutional, is to simply increase security in Airports worldwide to better detect suspicious activity in or around the airport. Secondly, I would recommend the use of canines being used in airports worldwide that have been specifically trained to be able to detect explosives. Works Cited

Tanika: Fourth Amendment Rights: Citizens of the United States are safeguarded by the Constitution's Fourth Amendment, which outlaws' unlawful searches and seizures. The appropriateness of a biometric identification system at an airport is a key factor in determining whether or not it violates the Fourth Amendment. It is common practice for courts to balance an individual's right to privacy against the state's responsibility to protect the public's health, safety, and welfare.
Foreign National Rights: Just because someone is a foreign national does not mean they are no longer entitled to the protections of the Fourth Amendment. However, at U.S. borders and points of entry (including airports), the "border search exception" to the Fourth Amendment applies. In the interest of managing foreign business and securing its borders, the government is permitted to conduct routine searches without a warrant.
TSA and CBP Rights: Airport security personnel from the TSA and CBP are not required to have probable cause to perform random bag checks. Reasons for this include the "border search exception" and the need for heightened airport security.
Recommendation if Biometrics is Unconstitutional: In the event that biometrics are ruled unconstitutional, other options include bolstering existing screening and vetting procedures, investing in more sophisticated scanning equipment, deploying canine units for explosives detection, and increasing national and international intelligence sharing. Risks can be greatly mitigated by concerted effort and data-driven methods without intruding on individual liberties.
