Make a Referral

Making a Referral  This discussion has two parts.  Part 1: For the first portion of this discussion, consider a client or student with whom you have been working who appears to need additional services to augment your counseling efforts. Write a very brief description of the client, his or her situation, and why you think the client needs additional services. Then, write a short letter of referral (a maximum of three concise paragraphs) to the appropriate professional or agency in your community, expressing the need for a referral for this student or client. The letter should be professional, concise, and specific, remembering that you do not tell the professional how to do his or her job.

Your post and response are expected to be substantive in nature and reference the assigned readings, as well as other theoretical, empirical, or professional literature to support your views and writings. Reference your sources using standard APA guidelines. There needs to be at least 2 references
