artwork from the periods we cover in this course. You will begin this project by exploring a museum collection online to choose your artwork and start gathering information.
Get started on the Module 8 art analysis paper by choosing an artwork from the collection of one of the following great museums:
- The Louvre, Paris (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.
- Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.
- Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.
The homepage of each website has a tab labeled “collections.” You will find you enter a candy shop of choices, so it may be helpful to have a particular time period in mind. Be sure to choose a work that falls within the periods we are studying, prehistory through medieval.
Once you have found your artwork, gather information about it from the museum’s website. Now, you have begun your research.
For this module, simply submit the identification and an image of your artwork. Your instructor may have ideas for the research.
