Do you think that our society generally demonstrates a double standard in terms of prosecution? Someone convicted of fraud in one jurisdiction might be sentenced to one or two years in prison. Another person convicted of the same offense in a different jurisdiction might receive 10 or 20 years in prison. Is there a disparity in enforcement and sentencing for white-collar crimes and "street" or blue-collar crimes in the federal system? Give examples.If someone were convicted of a cyber crime in 1997 when there were fewer successful prosecutions and the government may have been trying to set an example with lengthy sentences, what would a convicted felon’s chance of appeal be today?
