Literacy-Rich Environments

 Two paragraphs with at least 100 words per paragraph explaining the following which should include a reference for each paragraph.  

1.  Why would it be important to include classroom materials that integrate equity and diversity? How does that support ethical teaching practices and a responsibility to demonstrate respect and compassion towards all students? Provide an example. 

2.  Consider a student who struggles and shows very little interest in reading. What strategies could the teacher implement in the classroom environment that would encourage and build the student’s interest in literacy?
