Biblical Wisdom for Leading Change Paper Assignment Instructions
Overview
As we have studied, there are a number of methods and models to consider when leading change. While they all have their differences, they also all have a number of core similarities, such as recognizing the need for change for the organization to flourish, removing obstacles and providing what’s needed to change, the importance of involving and equipping the team implementing change, and ensuring good understanding of all elements of the change. These ideas can be encapsulated in the following concepts:
1. Stewardship
2. Communication
3. Empowerment
4. Servant Leadership
The Bible has much to say about these ideas that can be applied in a number of contexts, including organizational change initiatives. Considering this biblical wisdom, develop a paper that presents a biblical foundation for these principal concepts.
Instructions
Examine our course texts and other research and glean insights regarding stewardship, communication, empowerment, and servant leadership. Next, gather wisdom from the Bible’s stories, anecdotes, proverbs, and encouragements/admonitions regarding these key concepts. You will then develop a paper that will include an introduction, conclusion, and the following two sections:
Section 1: An overview of organizational change and how the four concepts are key to successful change, supported by the course texts and other resources.
Section 2: A biblical analysis of the four key concepts, establishing biblical wisdom and guidance for a Christian leader implementing change. Each key concept must include its own bolded sub-header per APA guidelines.
Your paper must include:
· A title page
· An abstract
· 4-5 pages of content (not counting the title page, abstract, or reference list)
· A reference list
· The Bible
· 5 scholarly or respected trade resources
· All course texts (3)
· Adherence to current APA standards
