DB Question:  Termination of treatment can be tricky. Oftentimes, clients are not ready to discontinue treatment believing they require continued support. Under what conditions should treatment be discontinued? How should this be done? What are some of the ethical issues associated with the end of treatment? What would be the problem with continuing with treatment indefinitely? How would you handle a client who has "a crisis" each time termination is discussed? What are some feelings you as the therapist may have when ending the therapeutic relationship with a client?
