Chapter Two introduces the topic of Sociological Research.  Sociological Research is crucial to discovering and understanding the world(s) in which we live.

As you read Chapter Two pay special attention to section 2.2 Research Methods on pages 36 - 46 which highlights the four main categories of sociological research: Surveys, Field, Experiments, & Secondary Analysis.  Note the sub categories for each main category as well.  (Table 2.2 on pg 49 is an excellent summary)

If you were a Sociologist, which sociological research method would you prefer to use?  Why?  Be sure to include the definition of the main category and corresponding sub-category(ies) you select in your response.
