This systematic literature review aims to assess the effectiveness of Behavior Analytic Parent and Family Training (BAPFT) interventions for adolescents (aged 12-18 years) with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Method

Inclusion criteria

Evaluated to be included in the subsequent criterion, the essay will first appear in a peer-reviewed journal in January 2000 and continue through December 2024. Second, the intervention's goal required behavior-analytic parent and family training. Third, the researcher will design experimental or non-experimental studies emphasizing adolescents (ages 12-18), adequate methodological rigor, and thorough descriptions of intervention processes. Fourthly, it will be written in English. Grey literature, dissertations, and peer-reviewed publications are a few of the publication types the researcher will use.

Exclusion Criteria

The researcher intends to exclude studies involving children under 12 or adults above 18. Additionally, interventions unrelated to behavior analysis or family training, such as pharmacological or non-behavioral therapies, will be excluded. Through these criteria, the review aims to comprehensively evaluate the effectiveness of behavior-analytic parent and family training interventions for the targeted population. Finally, each included article must include the intervention occurring in a residential, home or school setting.
