 When a company is going to sell their products on the international market they sometimes have to make "product adjustments". A good example of this are tape measures. There are only three countries that are not on the metric system, they are Burma, Liberia and the US. So a manufacturer of tape measuring devices have to change them to metric if they want them to sell in other countries.
