informative presentation outline based on interview
use simple vocab, clear sentences.
use the memo in the body only
specifically, the introduction, the body, and the conclusion will incorporate all elements that we covered in class (e.g., attention-getter, credibility statement, preview, topic sentences). The information that you collect from an interview will form the body of your presentation, which should include four main points: 1) the overview of the organization, 2) the leader's analysis regarding the communication practices in the unit, 3) your analysis regarding the communication practices about the leader or the unit, and 4) your recommendation to the leader to address the communication challenge.
The introduction generally needs to:
- Grab the reader’s or audience’s attention
- Present your thesis statement
- Establish your credibility
- Preview what is to come
- Transition to the body
The body:
- Outlines your main points, with subpoints and supporting facts
- Includes transitions between main points
The conclusion:
- Signals the end is coming
- Restates your thesis
- Ends strongly, but quickly, wrapping it up and driving your point home
