history 122
The attack on Pearl Harbor was certainly an importatn moment in World War II history and even more so specifically for American history. I find myself wondering, though, whether its importamce for the conflict as a whole woild have been as strong if Germany had not declared war on the US immediately afterwards. In other words, had the US entered only the Pacific Theatre, would the bombing of Pearl Harbor be viewed as being as important as we consider it today?
