Preparation

Complete the following in the  Your Career in Applied Behavior Analysis Template [DOCX].

Part 1: SMART Goals

· Provide three clearly and concisely written SMART goals that you hold for your career in Behavior Analysis. These goals must be post-graduation.

· Review the SMART Goals section to ensure your goals meet all aspects of the criteria.

· Complete SMART Goals sections in the worksheet.

Part 2: MEAL Planning

· Analyze the functions, responsibilities, and ethics required of a behavior analyst.

· Follow the MEAL Plan format to outline the ethical considerations and responsibilities required of you within the career goals shared above.

· Within the evidence section, complete BOTH steps for each piece of evidence:

· Provide a direct quote for each piece of evidence.

· PARAPHRASE each quote into your OWN words.

· Convert the MEAL Plan into a well-organized paragraph. The paragraph should follow the structure found in the Capella MEAL Plan overview.

· Apply critical thinking and effective decision making:

· Follow the MEAL Plan format to outline the contributions to the field that your career goals shared above will provide you the opportunity to make.

· Within the evidence section complete BOTH steps for each piece of evidence:

· Provide the direct quote for each piece of evidence

· PARAPHRASE each quote into your OWN words

· Convert the MEAL Plan into a well-organized paragraph. The paragraph should follow the structure found in the Capella MEAL Plan overview

Part 3: Application and Research Vision

· Reference the articles from your Week 4 assignment. Choose the article that aligns with your chosen specialization.

· Using the worksheet, discuss how your chosen article is reliable, credible, and aligns with ethical considerations.

· Discuss how the article contributed to your choice of specialization.

· Note: Be sure up upload the articles along with the assignment. Your assignment will not be graded of you fail to do so.

· Expand on your work to capture the growth you've experienced this quarter.

Review the  SMART Goals media, MEAL Plan resources,  Career Center resources, and search the  Capella University Library for additional reflective exercises and inspiring ideas about transforming your vision into an action plan.

Your assignment should also meet the following requirements:

· Written communication: Should be free of errors that detract from the overall message.

· Writing style: APA expectations for scholarly writing include the use of third-person narrative, unless it is awkward to do so. However, because you are talking about yourself in this paper, you may write in the first person.

· APA formatting: References and citations should be formatted according to current APA style and format. Refer to the degree-specific sections of the  Writing Center for citing and referencing tips. Include a title page and references list.

· Resources: A minimum of four resources with at least three of them from course readings. Your references may include both scholarly literature and practitioner sources. All references need to be cited in text, according to current APA standards. Remember that citations are to support your thoughts, not take the place of them.

· Template: Use the  Your Career in Applied Behavior Analysis Template [DOCX] to format your assignment.

· Submission: Once you are satisfied with your paper and have made all necessary revisions, submit your assignment no later than 11:59 p.m. CST Sunday.

Week 9 Assignment: Your Career in Applied Behavior Analysis

PART 1: SMART Goals

Using SMART goals, identify three goals you have for your career. Try to think beyond completion of this program and becoming certified.

Below are some suggested goals that relate to a career in behavior analysis: networking, attending conferences, completing specific CEs on a new topic, publishing research, developing curriculum, etc.
