SWOT Analysis

Objective

The objective of this assignment is to prepare you for the midterm policy brief and elevator pitch by conducting a SWOT analysis on a global disease control program or policy challenge of your choosing. 

Instructions

For your chosen topic identify important Strengths, Opportunities, Weakness, and Threats. Use the template provided in the online library and include no fewer than 5 bullet points for each quadrant. Each bullet point should be brief and speak for itself.

Remember: Strengths and Weaknesses are intrinsic to the program/policy while Opportunities and Threats are extrinsic. 

Identifying an appropriate topic

This SWOT will be used to inform your midterm paper and elevator pitch - pick a topic you want to stick with throughout the term! 

A successful topic will have all of the following attributes: 

- Be specific to a disease or health condition. 
- Have geographic focus, either by country or a region. 
- Well-researched with existing body of academic literature. Programs must be already well-implemented and well-evaluated.
