WrethsGestalt means "whole", so these laws relate to how we understand visual information and integrate into a whole. The law of similarity involves the grouping of figural elements that appear to be the same together. The law of closure involves our minds completing forms that have gaps or are incomplete. The law of figure-ground states that there must be a foreground and background; when detecting a figural ending, all else is considered to be the background. Can anyone provide examples of these concepts in real life?
