Brainstorming potential topics

Part I

1. Start creating the informative speech thesis and main points, due in Week 4, by identifying three communication topics that you know about or care about within your professional work field or career path. To generate speech ideas grounded in your career and communication, consider your future or current occupation’s major educational milestones, skills, communication expectations, training requirements, or knowledge.
2. Identify two speech subtopics within each of those three main topics. You should, therefore, have a total of 6 ideas in your list that directly relate to your professional field or career path.Topic 1

3. Post the list to this Discussion Area. (Note that if you are having difficulty with this, contact your instructor immediately for help. You can't afford to fall behind on starting your speeches.)
4. With your list, explain why these topics and subtopics are of interest to you and directly relevant to your professional field or career path.

Before the end of the week, begin commenting on at least 2 of your peers' responses. You can ask technical questions or respond generally to the overall experience. Be objective, clear, and concise. Always use constructive language, even in criticism, to work toward the goal of positive progress. Submit your responses to the appropriate topic in this Discussion Area.
