Descriptive Paragraph Draft

After reading Chapter 3 in Along These Lines, write a draft of your descriptive paragraph describing your favorite place. The paragraph should contain a topic sentence, supporting sentences, and a clincher. It should be coherent and unified.

Complete and submit the draft of your descriptive paragraph to Smarthinking no later than Sunday 11:59 PM EST/EDT. Smarthinking can be accessed by clicking the link in the Services area under Resources.

Before submitting your first paragraph to Smarthinking, you need to become familiar with the site. Once in the Smarthinking site for the first time, please carefully review the “Step-by-Step Smarthinking Student Handbook” by clicking the link at the bottom of the page. Pay particular attention to the instructions on how to submit essays and paragraphs.

NOTE: When you submit your paragraph, you need to let them know it is a descriptive paragraph. The tutors need to know it is a paragraph, not an essay, and which kind of paragraph you are submitting.
