Requirement:

Option 2 consists of utilizing one of your three prior essays: Spelunkers, Fact, or Meaning, and modifying it to include the use of all the stylistic tools learned throughout the semester. This will require you to review the Style Tools Checklist (Week 2), to understand and demonstrate your mastery of all tools listed therein.

Additionally, this final requires a side-margin annotation. You will add comments to the side margin of your essay, giving the theoretical/academic description of every stylistic tool you use in the course of your essay. These annotated "labels" will demonstrate that you not only know how to execute the usage of the stylistic tools, but that you likewise understand how and why each of the tools are used (by providing technical descriptions of them).
