Film Art- Research Paper

Research the film 'The Cabinet of Dr Caligari' (1920), director Robert Wiene and use your research to discuss a formal, technological or industrial element of your choosing. Research the filmmakers, examine the formal system of the film and contextualise it  within the historical moment in which the film was made. the paper is an opportunity for you to DEVELOP AN ARGUMENT, take a position and elaborate it using examples from the film and from your research. (paper should be 6-7 pages long, double spaced, MLA Format

Criteria for final paper:

1.) clear thesis (statement of basic argument, point/s to be developed and proven= 20%

2.)Organization (develop of thesis, logical and smooth flow of ideas and concepts)= 30%

3.)Acuuracy of observations (cultural kknowlefdge and basic facts)=20%

4.) clarity of expression (grammar, diction, spelling)=20%

5.) proper formatting (typed, margins, paragraphs, citing page numbers)=10%
