Fact Sheet

 The PDF for Lesson 2 is a “Fact Sheet” that includes information necessary to write a brief article regarding a letter sent to Amazon by the ACLU the week of May 21, 2018. This information includes the necessary who, what, when, where, why and how details to write an article, as well as quotes and brief comments on a related ethical issue facing the tech industry. The assignment is to write a draft of a short article structured according to the Inverted Pyramid format widely accepted in journalism. You will need to determine the ideal order for the information contained in the fact sheet, and to re-write that information into an article that is no more than 150 words in length. Feel free to combine sentences, alter wording for clarity and conciseness, fix grammar issues, re-format numbers, dates or titles, etc. according to the advice given in the Media Writer’s Handbook. Please submit your article draft in either Word (.doc or .docx), Rich Text (.rtf) or PDF (.pdf)
