Life happens and we are not always at our best. In recognition of this, students have the

opportunity to earn up to 50 extra points as well as take advantage of a mulligan:

WE ARE SOCIETY PAPER: We are all a part of society. What is your place? What

is your story? How do you connect to the larger social world?  students may craft a paper OF AT LEAST TWO PAGES

connecting their lives and place in society to any of the themes, theories, or

ideas presented in the course. While you may use a variety of sources such as

oral histories of family members and friends, you must also include at least two

academic sources beyond the textbook.
