Essay

 In a short essay of between 4 and 5 double-spaced pages, compare and contrast the representation of Russia and the Russians in Ninotchka and From Russia with Love. Do not do any additional research. Essays will be evaluated on the command of the course material (films, readings, class discussions) and its interpretation, as well as on the clarity and coherence of argumentation. A good essay features a clearly formulated central thesis supported by the appropriate evidence.
