Write a brief topic proposal for your research paper.  What is your opinion on your topic?  Why are you personally interested in it? Read the handouts on ethos, pathos, and logos and the "So What" question--explain how these concepts will help you as your develop your argument in your papers.  Finally, choose one on-line source that you think will be useful to your topic.  How does that source utilize ethos, pathos, and/or logos?  Your analytical checkpoint should be 250-500 words long.
