Write a critique of a photographic exhibition. The exhibit can be the work of a single photographer or multiple photographers from the same museum show or gallery.

Your paper should include:

Introduction: identify the name of the photographer(s), the name of the exhibit, where it is located, and some brief biographical information on the photographer(s). What is your overall impression and why?

Pick four artworks and write a paragraph on each describing and critiquing the photo. Talk about the subject matter, what kind of Photography it is (e.g. Landscape, Street, Photojournalism, Architecture, etc.), how they used light, how they used point-of-view, how they used composition, and your opinion (whether or not you liked the photo and why).

Conclusion: Your overall thoughts about the presentation, location and collection of works presented.

Requirements: 2 pages, Times font, double-spaced in 12 pt. type, .doc or .docx Word document only.

This is an opinion piece. All writing should come from your own original thoughts and observations. If you do reference an article or source besides yourself, then you must cite the source of the information.

It is not necessary to include any examples of the photographer’s work.
