Equity in Literacy

Create a 15-20 slide powerpoint presentation that you would deliver as a practicing educator taking the lead in advocating for equity in literacy instruction.

Communicate the effect of diversity on reading and writing development.

Provide important considerations to have as a teacher. Make sure to include:

• Critical literacy, analyze the perspectives of text.
• Literacy strategies, focus on vocabulary strategies
• Collaboration between teachers (literacy + tech), individual/group work (students)
• Literacy across content areas, importance/significance

In addition, create a title slide, reference slides, and presenter notes that provide detailed explanations of your examples.

Cite and reference 5-7 scholarly articles.
