Question 2
This cross-sectional study offers a valuable chance to develop an academic background and participate in the Irish community experience. Apart from academics, I plan to engage in cultural, social, and professional activities to share knowledge about the GOI-IES program.
My main goal is to participate actively in Irish Cultural Life. Ireland’s abundant cultural background presents unlimited knowledge opportunities. The Irish cultural life draws me to participate in local events and festivals while checking out traditional music performances and testing out Gaelic football combined with other experiences. Such experiences allow me to meet Irish locals and deepen my understanding of their customs and traditions as I share information about my cultural heritage. Through active participation, I strive to establish purposeful relationships that elevate my academic experience and understanding of Ireland above textbook knowledge.
Academic Engagement Beyond the Classroom serves as an essential element of my experience. I will become a member of academic societies focusing on finance and accounting and international relations to share knowledge with students and professionals. Participating in workshops, seminars, and conferences will help me expand my academic learning while building connections that unite Ireland with my home nation. I hope to assist international students with particular attention to students from my home country by providing support through their academic and cultural adjustment process in Ireland. By doing so, I support building an inclusive setting that accommodates everyone.
Another objective while in Ireland is to promote the GOI-IES Program. I also intend to pass information about the program to potential candidates and international learners. I will educate others on how the application process works and share my personal experience with them on social media, blogs, and word of mouth, which will result in more students applying. This way, I would like to draw attention to the program and strengthen the global bond with Ireland so that future scholars can receive this wonderful opportunity.
Volunteering and Internships are part and parcel of my broader participation. Volunteering should be done frequently; hence, I will ensure I volunteer to support community organizations. This should assist me in independently learning Irish society and impacting this society positively. Also, I intend to gain internships in the Irish financial services industry to practice what I learned in class. The type of jobs I will get through these opportunities will help me develop my professional practice in the field. I will also be able to learn more about Ireland’s booming economy.
Lastly, as a GOI-IES alumnus, I will maintain a close relationship with other members to support the constant exchange between the two cultures and professional development. I will attend alumni events, stay connected with colleagues, and share the program’s ongoing work. This is how I can guarantee that the connections made in Ireland will be helpful to both countries in the future as well as remain active in the network. With these objectives, I would like to positively transform the GOI-IES program and the Irish and Nigerian community after the end of my program.
Question 3
Being a GOI-IES scholar, I want to build lasting linkages with Ireland while I am studying and in the future. My academic background in project management and accounting and my practical experience as an accounts clerk have intensified my passion for practice in Ireland’s rapidly growing finance and business sector. Besides, my professional experience as an accounts clerk has fueled my desire to explore Ireland’s thriving finance and business sectors. Ireland has a stable and robust economy, it is a global leader in the financial industry, and it is home to some of the world’s most respected educational institutions, so studying accounting and finance and establishing long-term business connections in this country will be mutually beneficial.
While studying at the Irish institution, I plan to get a master’s degree in accounting and finance to help me achieve my goal. Ireland provides various financial services and hosts many global companies and financial organizations. This will be a critical chance for me to observe international financial strategies and get knowledge from skilled professionals. In the future, I want to fully engage in academic and professional activities within Ireland, including attending conferences and conducting internships to gain practical experience. A professional network– an interprofessional network of professionals worldwide- will be hugely beneficial for my career progression throughout my education and upon graduation.
I look forward to sharing ideas regarding the future of accounting and finance with my fellow students and tutors in Ireland. I think that the knowledge of project planning and management will give me a certain outlook on things valuable in academic settings and group tasks, thus helping me as a learner and helping others to learn. This sharing of information will provide a better understanding of the topics and create a better network of relations with many professionals in Ireland and other parts of the world.
Upon the end of my studies, I will ensure that I retain close relations with Ireland and that relations between my home country and Ireland remain strong. When I complete my studies in Ireland, I intend to go back to my home country, enhance the financial practices in my organizations, and create job opportunities in the financial sector, especially since I come from a rural area where unemployment is a major challenge. My career objective is to be in a position to improve the accounting and finance profession within my home country once I have acquired knowledge and experience from Ireland.
Also, I like helping others learn about my opportunities in the real world. In the future, as one of the GOI-IES alumni, I will promote the course among prospective students and provide guidance on studying in Ireland. My goal is to assist them in finding the necessary information on application procedures and being an international student. I will remain active in the GOI-IES alumni network to support the relationships between Ireland and my home country and create further opportunities that will enable future generations to receive the same benefits from Irish education. In conclusion, my tenure as GOI-IES scholar will be the starting point of my loyalty to Ireland in enhancing the bond of education, professional and cultural relations which will be fruitful for years to come both for Ireland as well as for my own country.
