Project Analysis Rubric and FAQ

Hi everyone,

I've received several questions along the lines of "Can I do X?" or "Do I have to do Y?" The answer is that it's up to you! There's no one correct model that we are expecting you to run. It is your choice what questions you want to answer and how you want to answer them using the data that you have.

I held office hours yesterday. If you missed them, I'm sorry that I won't be able to hold additional office hours this week. I can answer short questions via email.  If you email me about your assignment, please specify if you are working on the Porsche or the Uber case because both projects are related to cars. I strongly recommend reaching out and asking your classmates for their feedback. Having conversations with each other can really help you understand what you're doing better as well as help you come up with creative questions and/or solutions.

Here's a sample rubric:

1 pt:  Description of task

2 pts: Summary stats table

2 pts: Regression formula(e)

3 pts: Recommendation/Action plan

4 pts: Richness of analysis

2 pts: Coefficients table/Regression output table

6 pts: Interpretation of coefficients
