Requirements for Survey Preparation and Distribution

Learning Objectives and Project Overview

In this group project, you'll design a survey, write valid survey questions, and construct your survey in Qualtrics.  You will distribute this survey and report on the results within this class.

This project consists of a Qualtrics survey.

Scenario

Working in your teams, create a survey in Qualtrics and send it to your target population.  Follow up with your survey publication to maximize the number of responses.

You will design a survey based on your team members’ pitch projects. As a team, you will determine whose pitch subject you want to learn more about, and you will work as a team to create a survey about that pitch topic.

Structure and Format of the Survey

Use Qualtrics to structure and format the survey.

·         Divide the survey into N+1 sections, where N represents the number of members in your group and +1 represents the demographics section. For example, in a customer satisfaction survey for a restaurant, there might be a section on Food, Service, Location, Beverages, and General/Demographic Information.

·         Each section must have 7 or more questions, including 1 open-ended question (comments).

· Each team member must write 1 entire survey section, or 7 questions.

·         The complete survey must have at least 28 questions and should not require more than 10 minutes to complete.

·         Ensure that questions are organized and written in a manner that prevents response bias and ensures a high completion rate.

·       Each team member must write at least 7 questions.

Group and Individual Responsibilities

During this project, you will participate in several work sessions.  Your contributions to your group will be reflected in your Survey Prep and Group Work grade. Points will be lost for late work, absenteeism, poor quality work, off-task behavior, and similar issues.
