District Development plan

During the teacher in-service day, the principal asks you to collaborate with several colleagues to develop a schoolwide social development plan that focuses on targeting positive social interactions and promoting peer acceptance.

Research the Internet for information regarding creating a school or district development plan targeting social development.

Consider the following in your research:

· Incorporating the teaching of morals and moral reasoning

· Incorporating the teaching of societal norms

· Encouraging social understanding

· Promoting self-esteem

· Strategies for teaching self-control

Create a 10- to 12-slide (not including the title and reference slides) presentation for a schoolwide social development plan that promotes healthy social and emotional development, positive social interactions, and peer acceptance at all the following levels of education:

· Early childhood

· Elementary

· Middle school

· High school

Note: The introductory slide must contain the educator’s philosophy, which promotes valuing diversity and supporting adolescents affected by changes in gender roles.
