Discussion: Unit 1

As a way of introducing yourselves to the instructor and your peers, please post the following:

For this week's question, we will discuss the people that receive our care. 

In 5 - 10 sentences introduce yourself to the class. Include your name, your hometown, why you want to be a PTA, and one fun fact you want others to know about yourself. In another paragraph discuss the people that receive physical therapy care.

Answer the following questions:

• Who is considered the consumer in Physical Therapy?
• Why is it important to meet the needs of consumers?
• Based on your readings and classroom discussion, provide at least 2 occupations, including examples, of who can meet those needs?
