Discussion Topic
Artist/Photographer - Angélica Dass: Project Humanæ - The beauty of human skin in every color.
In this course, we have traveled the world of art through examining elements of design theories, its form and function and to its cultural and political influences.
Your discussion will take us back to the basics of “color” (hues, tints, and shades) that are present in the world today.
As you process how the visual images impact your emotions and help to define our cultural heritage through the disciplines of sculpture to architecture, photography to film and from painting to printmaking. This builds a heritage that we all can appreciate in the world we live in.

"Angélica Dass's photography challenges how we think about skin color and ethnic identity. In this personal talk, hear about the inspiration behind her portrait project, Humanæ, and her pursuit to document humanity's true colors rather than the untrue white, red, black and yellow associated with race."
The link below will take you to additional information about the artist. I would recommend reading the information before making any comments.
