In regards to temperature, the pass two years I have seen an increase in the electricity bill during the months of November through March. This year my electricity bill has doubled. Besides using heat which normally use more power, my temperature settings stays consistent throughout the year at 72degrees Fahrenheit. The electric company do not physically check the meter. They claim that they use a receiver, that picks up a signal from the meter that gives them the power usage.
My question is: If they readings are correct what maybe the caused the spike? And if the readings are false, what steps if any can I take to measure the results myself?
