Instructional designers apply instructional theories (such as cognitive, social, behavior) for many different reasons based on teachers' preferences and students' needs.

• Chapters 5, 7, and 14 in Morrison et al. (2013) discuss three different theories (cognitive, behavior, and social) for teachers to integrate when designing instruction.
• Select a learning theory that applies to the instructional design of the project. Provide a rationale for your selection.
  • A learning theory can be descriptive or behavior (B. F. Skinner), cognitive (Jean Piaget), individualistic (Jerome Bruner), or social-cognitive (Vygostky).
