DQ2: Chapter 3-The U.S. Supreme Court

Each of the following 2 scenarios involves governmental classifications based upon gender.  Choose any one of the two  following scenarios.  In 250-words or more, discuss whether or not the statute is constitutional. You must reply to at least one classmate’s posting in a minimum 150-word reply. Points will be deducted for failing to meet the requirements!

You must provide an example of researched, recent case law.

Scenarios:

(1)  A state statute which permits sales of beer to women at an earlier age than men.

(2)   A policy precluding males from enrolling in a Florida state nursing school.

To get full credit you will need to:  Provide an example of researched, recent case law to show that the requirement was met or not.
