Discussion - Nursing

Your textbook specifically addresses the LGBTQ community in Chapter 26, Human Trafficking in Chapter 80, and Family and Sexual Violence in Chapter 79.  These are groups of people who may be treated differently in our society based on their beliefs or actions which are opposed or not supported by other groups of people.  

Other cultural groups that fall into this category are divided by race, gender, sexual orientation, age, and religion, to name a few.  These groups come with their health disparities.

Respond to the following question for discussion this week:

*How can nurses use policy and policy analysis to create a dialogue that could ultimately create a change in policy targeted specifically to one of the groups of individuals discussed above?*
