RESPONDING TO THE TEACHER

Good PowerPoint presentation!  According to Gadzikowski (2013, Sec. 10.3, para. 7), “The best source of power in advocacy is information. Effective advocates for children create, collect, and organize information about the issues and use that information to support their positions when communicating with leaders and policy makers. Early childhood administrators are in a unique position to serve as advocates because they have contact with children every day and can see directly how policies and legislation affect families. As leaders, early childhood administrators also have access to information about trends in the field, research on best practice, and the priorities of professional organizations like the NAEYC.” 

1. As an early childhood administrator, what issues would you advocate for in the field?
