Discuss the Components of Power Systems (200-300 words)

Introduction

Many components are required to create power and then distribute it to our homes.  Whatever your profession, you are constantly exposed to electricity and its many components.  You may work at a power plant that generates the electricity, or you could work in a facility that uses high voltage; you may have a transformer station near your home, or it may be as simple as just using the 120 volts that come into your home or office.  If none of these scenarios applies to you, then just by being in this class you are using the components of electricity.
